CrossRoads is dedicated to providing a quality camping experience for children and youth of all ages from all types of backgrounds. We were founded over 20 years ago by the Woman’s Missionary Union of Virginia with a vision of offering missions centered camping for girls. CrossRoads is proud to continue that vision through several weeks of camp designed especially for girls and young women. Missions has also continued as an important component of the summer camp program. We host two international student missionaries each summer, invite a different missionary or missionary family to share with campers each week, collect a missions offering during the summer, and attempt to integrate missions education into many of our daily summer camp activities and conversations.

Our vision has expanded to include programs for families, coed camping experiences, and teen leaders.

Located on 606 beautiful acres in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, CrossRoads is the perfect setting for summer adventures. As guests drive into camp, they can’t help but be awed by the beauty of the Little Piney River that winds through the property, the refreshing cool breeze, and the welcoming nature of our staff. CrossRoads is also a year-round retreat facility available for church conferences, youth groups, and personal getaways. It is owned and operated by the WMUV and is supported through the Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions.
